    • Sasa the owner was super friendly and helpful! He was very accommodating during our stay. He picked us up from the train station and took us to get rentals. Then dropped us off and picked us up at the ski resorts.
    • Excellent service, with friendly staff who were happy to offer lifts to the various local ski resorts and in to Akakura town at night. Comfortable walking distance from Akakura, very clean, and good breakfast. Goodsized room. Overall an excellent experience and exceptional value. Well be back!
    • We really enjoyed spending time in the communal area, meeting other guests and staff. It was warm, cosy and welcoming. Sasas culinary skills deserve mention, especially the Shabu Shabu sushi, scrumptious. Sasa Jacob were very accommodating, helping to make restaurant reservations provide transport to nearby locations as required.
    • My 17 year old son and I absolutely love this place and cant fault it. Its really quiet, homely, comfortable and clean. Sasa is a fabulous cook, really entertaining and very cool. There was lots of laughter around the fireplace in the evenings. The breakfast and dinners are outstanding. Although its a little out of the way, we were driven to the ski fields and down to the town whenever we wanted. This is our favourite lodge in Japan and I cant imagine staying anywhere else.
    • Sasasan is one of the best hosts weve had in Japan weve travelled here eight times, staying in dozens of pensions, ryokans and small hotels. His warmth and hospitality is exceptional! Dining room facilities were great and provided a warm, cozy and inviting place to eat and hang out. Drying room and ski storage facilities were great. Location was a short easy stroll to Akakara Kanko, a bit longer to the main strip. Sasa offered drop off and pick up to the local ski fields and restaurants.

    • Stayed for 6 nights Madori surprised us with a differing western style breakfast each morning. All we needed to hit the slopes each day. Location is a 15min walk downhill from town. Kaz Husband does scheduled runs into Anakurra Onsen town for skiing drop off, diner pickup at 9pm. So dont fret staying a little out of town. As a family of 4 we stayed in the cottage with a private bathroom onsen in a little hut to the side.He also collected us from the train in MyokoKogen station, 10 mins to location. This is traditional Japanese, be prepared for sitting on the floor, hard beds lumpy pillows. But that is why we picked traditional village to ski in.On comparison to other friends accommodation, this is fantastic value for money.English is very limited, but with google translate we were able to communicate.
